I’m a butterfly chaser.  An endorphin racer.

I’m not in it for the long term.  For me, its the rush and the blush.  That red that spreads across my cheeks as you flirt with me for the first time.  That warmth that radiates like that first glass of red wine through my system, warming my toes and limbs in starburst oscillation.

I want the would you, could you, will you, should you of the moment.  The spark that flies through me as your skin brushes mine for the first time. The contact high.  The wet pulse of my lip captured between yours as you brush my flushed flesh with your Van Gogh strokes. 

I want to want you.  I want the lust to double with each beat of my heart.  Until it drowns out the music, the bar, the world, and time.  Until all it’s left is the hummingbird flutter of my eyelashes and the stuttered drag of your thumb down my cheek. 

I want you to set fire to the room.  Let me suffocate in the smoke and drown in the flames while you watch from the corner with your bucket of water.  With your personal bottle of rain. 

And, when I’ve held on as long as I can, when my body and brain are screaming for more and nothing but your touch and taste and smell will do, I’ll give in to the epiphany.  Give in to you.
